Please could you give me your opinion on my design for SCOM 2012 R2. I’ve never done this before but done quite a bit of reading up on it. I’m hoping this should be enough to manage 1000 clients, 1000, network devices as well as let us start using Application Performance Monitoring.
So what I am thinking about having

Database Servers
x1 DB Server – for the OpsMgrDB database
x1 DB Server – for the OpsMgrDW database
x1 DB Server – for the ACS database
Management Servers
x1 – RMS Emulator
x1 – Server for Failover
x1 – ACS Collector and also for Failover
DMZ
x1 Gateway Server – this would be the primary gateway server
x1 Gateway Server – this would be secondary used for failover
Reporting Server
x1 Reporting Server
Web Servers
x1 Web Server

I’m thinking this would be good for our production system. However I’m not sure if it’s best practice. I value all opinions and any efforts to help me get this right would be fantastic.
